Danile likes playing bass guitar and is a fan of punk rock music but his primary interest is acting. But Daniel had to convince his parents to go for acting as a career. He remembers that his parents had not entertained the idea of his acting in a British TV version of Charles Dickens “Oliver Twist” in the year 1999. However Daniel’s mother and father somehow gave in when the same year he went for the audition of David Cooperfield on BBC.

Daniel toiled hard and proved his versatility to the world but still he awaited that large scale recognition. His wait came to an end in the year 200 when he got selected for the coveted role of Harry Potter in Chris Columbus’ film named Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. The movie based on the popular series of books by J.K Rowling got released in November 2001 and fetched for Daniel the popularity and stardom which he might have never imagined even in dreams.

The role of Harry Potter was largely acclaimed and Daniel came to be known as one of the best adolescent actors of the day. Following the huge success of the film Daniel was reacted in the sequels of the movie. The bespectacled charming boy reappeared in the same role but with a different story in ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’ in the year 2002, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 2004 and will be shortly seen in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in July 2007. But before that the seventeen year old wizard has made it to news because of going nude on the stage of his current West End play. He has appeared with Richard Griffiths and Jenny Agutter in Equus as a troubled teenager who enters into an erotic and destructive relationship with horses!

Daniel, not to go wild

The teenage wizard of the world, Harry Potter or Daniel Radcliffe has declared that he won’t go off the rails like many other child actors. Daniel who had stripped on the stage in London West End play Equus in the beginning of this year insists that he is and will always remain good at heart. Daniel says that "What everybody would love to see is me having ditched school and then just going wild. That's what I'm determined not to give them."

Radcliffe inspired by nakedness for kiss

The young star who supposedly feels shy when confronted by girls, Daniel Radcliffe states that his nakedness on the stage prepared him for his first kiss. The 17 year old handsome wizard reveals that his role in Equus on London’s West End stage instigated him and fetched him the courage to smooch his co-star Katie Leung.

Radcliffe says "Once you've been onstage naked in front of 1,000 people you really feel you can do most anything without inhibition.” He added “Being naked was possibly not as complicated as kissing - although belt buckles can give everybody a bit of trouble at times - but kissing Katie was a very comfortable experience, especially when compared to being naked onstage."
